The ministry has invited international companies to present their suggestions for drilling operations in nine new oil and gas zones, it said.

The report also underlined efforts made by Iraq as a member state of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to promote new oil fields and to reinforce production and saving of oil and gas resources.
