Iran’s annual rail exports up by 140%: Official

Saeed Mohammadzadeh made the remarks speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday on the sidelines of a ceremony in the northeastern city of Neishabour where he unveiled seven development projects.

He said that railway's share in transit of commodities has amounted to 14% which also requires further contribution of the private sector.

A total of 750 wagons of the country’s total 1,300 wagons need to be overhauled with a budget of 8,000 billion rials, Mohammadzadeh said.
