Construction, electricity, steel, tile and wood processing companies are among 45 Iranian companies taking part in the fair that opened on Monday.
Iran's Ambassador to Iraq Iraj Masjedi urged the Iraqi companies to take advantage of this event to improve the Iraqi market.
'We will not leave Iraqis alone in reconstruction period as we didn’t leave them during hardships,' he said while opening the fair.
Iranian Trade Attaché in Iraq Naser Behzad said the exhibition has been set up in line with both countries' efforts to hit $ 20bn target in their annual trade volume.
It’s also been set up less than a month after a recent visit by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to the western neighbour.
Iranian heavy industries such as steel companies and construction firms that are vastly needed in reconstructing Iraq make up the bulk of Iranian businesses that have taken part in this fair.
