Iran, Ukraine consider cooperation in air industries

In the meeting, Iran's Ambassador to Ukraine Mohammad Beheshti Monfared was also present.

The future of Iran, Ukraine cooperation in the field of airplane manufacturing was discussed in the meeting, where a number of Ukraine defense industries officials were present as well.

The Iranian parliamentary delegation visited different sections of Antonov Airplane Company before the meeting.

Iran and Antonov Company have started cooperation since two decades ago.

Antonov 'AN-140' airplane is being manufactured in Isfahan under Ukrainian company license and ith the name of 'Iran-140'.

This type of plane is produced in three models; passenger, passenger-transport and military-transport with a capacity of 52 persons.

The two countries have also held negotiations to produce Antonov-158 ith capacity of 100 persons since six years ago.
