Iran to export fertilizer technology to Indonesia

A memorandum of understanding worth 20 million dollars that could be extended further in the future has been signed with Indonesia, said Hamidreza Dorri faculty member of Agricultural and Resources Research and Education Center of Markazi Province in central Iran.

“The Iranian company is to transfer the Uremic fertilizer technology to Indonesia,” Dorri said.

“Indonesian agricultural lands have lost their fecundity in recent years due to the excessive use of urea fertilizer. The transfer of the new fertilizer Uremic is intended to optimize the use of urea,” he said.

He stressed that using the environmentally-friendly Uremic fertilizer reduces urea used in cultivating agricultural products by 60 percent.

Dorri added that the mass production is due to the success of the pilot experiments that have been conducted in Indonesia.

Agricultural and Resources Research and Education Center of Markazi Province is a subsidiary of Ministry of Agricultural Jihad and owns seven research stations across the province.
