Iran talks with Australia, Japan, Malaysia to ease trade

During the meetings which took place on the sidelines of an economic event in the seat of World Customs Organization in Brussels, heads of the Australian, Malaysian and Japanese customs administrations stressed the need for promoting customs cooperation with Iran.

In a meeting with the Japanese counterpart, Asgari discussed major issues pertaining to customs of the two countries. They also agreed to remove obstacles in the way of facilitating trade between the two countries.

Asgari also explored common customs issues in a meeting with Malaysian counterpart. He also welcomed joint educational cooperation, calling for preparing the grounds for running joint training courses by the two countries’ customs administrations.

In a relevant meeting, Australian official welcomed transfer of Iran’s experience in field of fighting drug trafficking and smuggling.
