Iran, Slovenia keen on boosting agricultural cooperation

In a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador in Ljubljana Kazem Shafei on Thursday, she added that the exchange of goods between the two countries will take place at a desirable level.

“Interests for cooperation in the field of foodstuff exist between the two countries, but in the field of trade exchanges, the share of foodstuff and agriculture is meager,” he said.

“There are numerous opportunities for cooperation in the fields of food and agriculture that we can take advantage of them,” he said.

Shafei, for his part, said that fortunately, despite problems, trade exchanges have witnessed growth.

Referring to holding joint economic commission as a suitable mechanism for promoting trade and economic relations, he hoped that first meeting of the commission will be held in near future.
