Iran, Russia examine legal mechanisms to confront sanction

The meeting took place between Foreign Ministry Director General for legal and international affairs Abbas Baqerpour Ardakani and his Russian counterpart Evgeniy Zagaynov here on Thursday.
The two sides also considered practical ideas in legal mechanisms to confront unilateral sanctions and underlined common legal stances of the two countries concerning international issues.
They also agreed to continue legal consultations between the two states and to hold the next round of talks in Tehran.
US President Donald Trump ordered his government to exit from Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on May 8, 2018.
Western Troika including Germany, France and Britain opposed departure of the US from JCPOA and accompany with Russia and China underlined to keep stay in nuclear agreement with Iran.
The 11th joint JCPOA commission meeting in the level of political directors and deputy foreign ministers of Iran and Group 4+1 (Germany, Britain, France, Russia and China) held meeting in Vienna on Wednesday and all participants underlined cooperation useful in JCPOA, in spite of the US departure from agreement.
