He told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that upon published statistics by Iran's Customs Administration non-oil exports to Indonesia in the first 3 months of the year in comparison with the same period of the preceding year increased by 86 percent and 52 percent in terms of value and weight, respectively.
According to the figures, exports to Indonesia were 134 million dollars last year and in the first 3 months hit 250 million dollars.
Kamari explained that the statistics indicated that in most merchandise groups such as ordinary metals, chemical industry, mineral products, textile materials, food products and plastics export increased.
In this period, Indonesia exported around 59 million dollars goods to Iran, Kamari said.
He underlined that Indonesia, as the largest country and economy in southeast Asia has plenty of capacities for Iranian merchandise and Iranian companies are eyeing the market and by active participation in exhibitions may expand influence of Iran-made goods in this market.
Indonesia is the fourth most populous countries in the world and the first Muslim state in the world by population.
The country has been witnessed a noticeable economic growth in recent years.
