Iran, Iraq agree to share information on earthquake

Head of Iran Concrete Institute Mostafa Ahmadvand said on Monday that Iran and Iraq are located around the fault lines in the Middle East.

Regional Meeting of International Institute of Concrete in Middle East and North Africa attended by representatives of 15 countries opened on January 6 and is to end on tomorrow.

Representatives from Iran, Turkey, Egypt, India, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Libya, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, UAE, Pakistan and Afghanistan are participating in the event to help promote quality of concrete and concrete structures against natural disasters, especially earthquake, he said.

Ahmadvand further noted that International Institute of Concrete has decided for the first time to set up an independent regional office of Middle and North Africa to undertake practical activities on promoting quality of concrete.
