Iran, global standard officials discuss mutual interests

Hossein Paryab and Miguel Lopera met on Saturday to discuss foreign investment in Iran, enhancement of mutual cooperation, and experiment exchange.

The collaborations include blockchain technology, Internet of Things (IOT), data encryption technologies, and electronic trade.

Paryab also made arrangements about the electronic trade event due to be held in Tehran in 2019 with the representatives of other members of GS1.

Founded in 1973, GS1 is a non-profit international organization for implementing product identification and numbering with 150 member states.

Barcode is the best-known solution initiated by GS1 in late 1960’s.
