Iran, France to boost agro cooperation

A French delegation from seed and food industries association of France is scheduled to have trip to Tehran next week, Abbas Keshavarz said Tuesady in a joint meeting with managing director of French National Federation of maize and sorghum.

Reinforcing cooperation in exchanging knowledge and technology as regard to producing crops is of importance for both sides, he added.

In the field of joint seed company, we are gaining a new experience in the development of cooperation between agricultural sector activists of the two countries, he noted.

Iran has developed cooperation with France in rapeseed cultivation, Keshavarz said.

'We are seeking to establish a framework for cooperation between Iranian and French companies for the transfer of experiences and technology on production of forage products and the introduction and cultivation of sorghum as an effective product in the production of milk,' he added.

Meanwhile, the French official expressed readiness for promoting cooperation with Iran.

He referred to good experience of cooperation with Iran in maize and sorghum which started last year.
