Iran exports over $7.4bn of petrochemical products in seven months

The overall output of the Iranian petrochemical facilities in the six-month period amounted to some 12.6 million tons.

Petrochemical industry is one of the hardest parts of the Iranian economy to sanction as many customers around the world insist to continue with the purchase of Iranian petrochemical products.

The new round of US sanctions imposed on Iran which came into effect on November 5, includes petrochemical sector.

With the new plans launched, Iran’s petrochemical output has increased to 65.5 million tons which brings about over $ 13 billion of revenues for the country.
