Iran exports goods worth $726m to Pakistan in 10 months: Official

In an interview with IRNA, Morad Ne'mati Zargaran said Pakistan also exported products worth $ 360 million to Iran showing an increase of 38 percent whereas overall bilateral trade stood at $ 1.086 billion.

According to the experts the current volume of bilateral trade between Iran and Pakistan is not satisfactory keeping in view the close religious and historical ties between the two countries.

Iran and Pakistan have already agreed to enhance the bilateral trade volume to $ 5 billion in next five years.

Ne'mati Zargaran said tiles, ceramic products, cement are the major Iranian products exported to Pakistan.

He emphasized the necessity of enhancing the exports of Iranian commodities to Pakistani market.

Ne'mati Zargran noted Pakistan, a country with more than 200 million people, can be a good market for the Iranian products like dried and fresh fruits and juices.
