Iran envoy, Belarusian minister discuss transport ties

Oveisi emphasized bilateral and multilateral collaboration in the field of rail and road transportation in the framework of the North-South Corridor.

He said that activating the corridor will result in lowering the trade costs and shortening the time of transportation for countries like Iran, and India to Belarus, and Baltic and Scandinavian counties.

Stressing importance of the North-South Corridor, expansion of ground transportation and facilitating air transportation between the two countries, the Belarusian minister said expansion of ties in transportation is in line with long-term goals of both countries.

Another issue discussed in the meeting on Friday was production of road construction and transportation machinery.

Sivak said he supports the cooperation of Belarusian companies with their Iranian counterparts.
