Iran, Croatia urge development of bilateral cooperation

Masoud Karbasian told his Croatian counterpart Martina Dalic that his ministry would do all within its power to expand economic, industrial and banking cooperation with Croatia.

He said that customs affairs and supporting joint investments in both countries are among suitable areas of cooperation between Tehran and Zagreb, hoping that relevant agreements would be finalized soon.

Saying that both countries can make joint investment in energy sector and power plant industries, Karbasian said Iran's neighborhood with 15 countries has turned it into an important gateway to big markets of the region.

The Croatian minister, for her part, announced his country's interest in promoting cooperation with the Islamic Republic in various fields.

Croatia with a long and successful record of attracting foreign tourists including Iranians is fully ready to expand its tourism cooperation with Iran, she said.
