Hassan Shah Beig made the remarks Wednesday addrerssing a meeting with Chinese students visiting Iran embassy in Beijing.
Iran and China have good cooperation in cultural, tourism, sports and educational fields, he said while expressing the hope for both sides to have better cooperation in students fields.
Iran and China have shown in their ancient history that they have a lot of cultural commonalities, he noted.
Shah Beig went on to say that since they are located on Silk Road path their cultural exchanges are extended.
The volume of trade exchanges between Iran and China was about 37.3 billion dollar.
The figure experienced about 19.3% growth compared with the same amount in 2016.
