Iran, Azerbaijan sign eight cooperation pacts

Iranian Economy Minister Masoud Karbasian and his Azeri counterpart Shahin Mustafayev signed eight cooperation pacts at the end of the 12th meeting of Azerbaijan-Iran state commission for economic, trade and humanitarian cooperation.

The cooperation documents will boost the two countries' relations in various fields in particular, oil swap and transit and will help execution of Rasht-Astra Railroad project.

Earlier on Tuesday, Karbasian said working groups, including economic, trade, banking, transportation, communication, energy, water, agriculture, science and research committees will also be established during the two-day gathering.

The Iranian minister said that both presidents in the two neighboring nations are determined to boost banking cooperation.
