Int'l cooperation reduces US unilateralism: Minister

Elaborating on the memorandum of undestanding (MoU) signed between Iran and Russia's Gazprom Gas Industry Company, Zangeneh said Russia has requested for extending the MoU and Iran accepted the request.

'Russian firms will present their plans for developing four oil and gas fields, namely Kish Gas Field, Farzad A and B gas fields and North Pars Gas Field in Iran,' he added.

Commenting on the impact of US President Donald Trump's remarks on international companies to ignore cooperation with Iran, he said, 'I don’t think so.'

Touching upon drilling in the Caspian Sea, Zangeneh said that no country has yet started drilling in this area.

'As regard drilling operation in Caspian Sea three MoUs have been signed between Iran and two Russian firms, namely Lukoil Company and Rosneft and a Norwegian company as well,' he added.
