India fully pays Iran's debts: Diplomat

He told the Islamic Republic News Agency on Saturday and on the sidelines of India's exclusive exhibition in Tehran.

Uttom said that India imported 27.1 million tons of crude oil worth 9 billion dollars from Iran last year.

To facilitate trade exchanges between the two countries an Indian bank (Yoko Bank) had opened office in Tehran and has connection with six Iranian banks to transfer money.

The senior Indian diplomat said trade exchange volume between the two countries was 12.8 billion dollars past year and added that in recent visit of President Rouhani to India the two sides' underlined promotion of mutual cooperation.

Concerning mutual cooperation in Chabahar Port, the diplomat said Indian government is to finance 85 million dollars to provide equipment in first phase of Chabahar Port development project and also 150 million dollars credit line was allocated for this port.

India's exclusive exhibition kicked off on Saturday morning by participation of 100 Indian companies in Tehran Milad Tower Exhibition Center.

Companies active in different fields of engineering machineries and auto spare parts, food and agricultural products, health services and medicine, information technology, plastics, textile, and construction.

The exhibition will last until March 12, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. local time.
