Hungarian Minister: Trade exchanges volume in post-JCPOA two-folded

He made the remarks in a signing ceremony for economic cooperation contracts between Iran's private sector and Hungary, and added that imposed sanctions against Iran reduced trade exchange between the two countries to less than one tenth of what was before.

Following economic reforms in Hungary in the year 2010, government had strengthened active manpower in this field as well as increasing international possibilities.

Varga said that Hungary is concentrating on development of its abilities in the fields of electronics, automobile, military hardware, pharmaceuticals and chemicals and welcome foreign investment and prepares governmental supports for them.

He said that Hungary is among first five European Union member-states in the information technology and concentrated its priority on development of infrastructures in road construction, railway, airports and IT.

Varga called Iran as one of most important trade partners of Hungary in Asia, and said that Hungary is trying to attract more confidence of EU and Iran.

He expressed his country's readiness to supply food products, machineries and processed materials and added that in other fields like water management, wastewater treatment, joint manufacture of buses and electrical buses, medical equipment, energy and oil is ready for expansion of cooperation.

Varga pointed to signed contract for joint manufacturing 'Ikurus bus and contract with Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education in the field of medical equipment today'.

He said that Hungary has advanced pharmaceuticals industry and is looking for an international partner for joint production or sales.

According to IRNA, in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21- August 21) Iran exported $ 1.319261 million and has imported $ 8.657934 million from Hungary.
