Germany to consider independent payment system with Iran

The system will allow the continuation of business transactions with Iran once the US sanctions are underway against the country, Reuters reported.

“As you know, it is a central goal of the EU and the German government to ensure that the processing of transactions is secured,” the spokeswoman was quoted as saying during a regular government news conference.

“All options are being considered,” he added.

The US President Donald Trump also said he would reinstate the US nuclear sanctions on Iran and impose “the highest level” economic bans on the Islamic Republic.
