German Association keen on active presence in Iran market

Speaking at a press conference on Iran Machine Tools Exhibition (AMB Iran 2018) in Tehran, Wilfried Schäfer said that the international community should think of a solution for restoring the global order and countering the US sanctions.

He added that the AMB Iran 2018 is organized by Messe Stuttgart, a German trade fair organizer and VDW, adding that they are waiting for upcoming EU political stance to be announced next week to continue their activities in Iran.

Referring to the 'unbalanced and unclear' US behavior at the global level, he anticipated that the EU is keen on supporting Iran.

AMB Iran 2018 is slated to be held in Tehran from June 26-29.

So far several companies from Iran, Germany, Italy, France, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Japan, Czech and Russia have voiced their readiness to attend the exhibition.

AMB Iran is the first internationally recognized trade fair for metal cutting that is taking place in Iran after the lifting of sanctions following the conclusion of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

AMB Iran shows the latest developments in machine tools, precision tools, automation and relevant periphery for metal machining.

Its first edition held in May 2016 was a big success.

AMB Iran 2017 has surpassed all expectations: 5,736 trade visitors (2016: 2,027) mingled with 202 exhibitors (2016: 111) from 17 countries.

AMB Iran is an offspring of AMB, the international exhibition for metal working, taking place in Germany in the even years and one of the top 5 trade fairs worldwide for metal-cutting technology.
