
The National Iranian Gas Company Spokesman Majid Bojarzadeh said on Monday that following the 7.3-magnitude earthquake, gas supply was disconnected for 40,000 Iranian clients for safety reasons.
Operations to find any gas leakage is currently underway, said the official.
An earthquake magnitude 7.3 on Richter scale jolted western province of Kermanshah on Sunday November 12, 2017 at 21:48 hours local time (18:18 GMT).
According to latest reports, 407 people were killed and 6,700 others were injured so far.
After-shocks are still continuing.
President Hassan Rouhani is to visit quake stricken-area on Tuesday.
