French FM: New banking developments between Iran-France

French foreign minister made the remarks in a meeting with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani in Tehran on Monday.

'We are fully acquainted with Iran's history, power as well as the country's capabilities and believe that in the post-JCPOA era the prospects of political and economic cooperation between the two countries is very promising,' he said.

French government believes that all sides should remain committed to their pledges with regards to the JCPOA, but the stances adopted by the US might dissolve the international treaty and Paris strongly is opposed to such move, French foreign minister said.

There will be new developments in broadening of banking and financial cooperation between the two countries, he said.

In the meeting, both sides exchanged views on most important developments in the region and the world.

French foreign minister is also to confer with President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on issues of mutual interests along with regional and international developments during his one-day tour to the country.

An exhibition titled Louvre in Tehran will be opened today afternoon through a ceremony in the presence of the French top diplomat and President-Director of the Louvre Jean-Luc Martinez.
