'One of the active committees in this sector is cooperation with Germany about water issues,' said Farhad Yazdan Doust, deputy energy minister for international affairs said on Tuesday, adding that Iran has had long-standing cooperation with Europe, especially Germany, on water and electricity projects.

He expressed hope that bilateral water cooperation between Tehran and Berlin would increase, saying the two are studying new projects in this regard.

The Iranian ministry of energy official said the two are seeking to rally the European Union’s support behind the existing and upcoming projects.
