Keijo Norvanto made the remarks Saturday in a ceremony held in Arak to welcome an expert group dispatched to Markazi province from Finland embassy.
Two Finnish companies have so far expressed readiness for developing ties with Iran, Norvanto said.
Finland enjoys good potentials in clean energies, water treatment and improving environmental conditions, he added.
The country is after reinforcing bilateral economic cooperation with Iran, he noted.
Norvanto said promoting mutual trade relations and making use of oil and gas technologies can be effective in creating job opportunities.
He went on to say that Markazi Province has high capacity in industrial field.
Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of Markazi province for economic affairs Saeed Farrokhi said the province enjoy good capacities in technical, engineering , agricultural, industrial and tourism fields.
He also expressed hope for establishment of good cooperation between Markazi province and Finland.
