Finance minister: Iran, India vow to broaden economic cooperation

Karbasian said in a special ceremony for signing MoU's on economic cooperation between Iran and India chambers of commerce on Saturday.
The two sides discussed various issues such as increase in exchange of goods mainly petrochemical products, he said.

The two side's economic delegations also reviewed other issues such as transportation, exchange of goods with central Asia and Afghanistan through the Islamic Republic of Iran and India's investment in Chabahar, said the minister.

Some 15 MoUs were signed in various economic, cultural, environment, rail road and other area of interests, he said.

One of the great achievements of the trip will be India's access to central Asia via Chabahar free trade economic zone, the minister added.

India is one of the main importers of Iran's petrochemical products and exports of such products will be continued and there is no banking or financial problems between the two countries, he said.

President Rouhani, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in India on Thursday on a three-day official visit to the country.
