Two years ago, following the submission of a global registration of Jozan Valley’s grape of Malayer by the Institute for Planning Research, Agriculture and Rural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad to the FAO, this case was approved by FAO until the second phase and is now in the third phase.
After confirming the various stages of the Global Grape Registration of “Jozan Valley”, it was decided that FAO representative, along with a number of experts from the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, to visit the Jozan Valley site and closely monitor the grape production system in the area and make the necessary reports to be sent to FAO.
In this regard, from today, October 17, Malayer hosts Salim Zakri, a FAO expert on Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) who visits this site on October 17 and 18 for two days, and provided all the necessary reports in all areas and sent to FAO.
