Exports from Kordestan customs up by 91% in 6 months

“More than 923,000 tons of goods worth $ 593m have been exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, and Romania,” said Bakhtiar Rahmanipour in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency.

“The exports shows 91% rise in weight and 66% rise in value,” he added.

“With $ 18m, livestock and tomato are the major products exported during the period, each with 6% share of the total exports,” he said.

“Fish constitute 5% of the the exports, plastic products 4%, and fruits more than 3%.” Rahmanipour added.

Bashmagh customs in Marivan city is in charge of over 88% of the total exports from Kordestan Province.

Kordestan Province is located in the western Iran and shares border with Iraq.
