Export volume from Mahabad customs office rises 68%

Ahmad Ahmadi Mamlou told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that the main exporting items were carpet, cement, flour, plastics and feedstock, adding that they were exported mainly to Iraq, Turkey and Azerbaijan Republic.

Mahabad city with population of 237,000 located in south of West Azarbaijan province and is one of nine customs offices of the province.

West Azarbaijan province has more than 960 kilometers of common border with Iraq, Turkey and Nakhchivan autonomous Republic.
