Envoy: Seven Italian energy companies to visit Tehran on July

He made the remarks in a meeting with advisor to Energy Minister for international affairs Farhad Yazdandoust.

'A document on cooperation in the field of renewable energies will be signed between Iran and Italy,' Conchatori said on the sidelines of the visit.

Conchatori said the companies are active in the fields of renewable energies, water management as well as desalination of sea water.

He added that concerning other important issues like reviving Orumiyeh Lake there are good grounds for cooperation as well.

The Italian envoy reminded that already an Italian company took the first step to generate solar energy in Qeshm Island, which could be a ground for next steps for bigger plans in Iran.

Yazdandoust said Iran is trying to expand its international relations with other states, especially European countries.

He underlined necessity to optimum use of credit line between Iran and Italy, and said, 'Italy is able to have good cooperation with Iran in the field of researches on water recycle, wastewater treatment for use in industry and agriculture, desalination of sea water and generating electricity from renewable resources.'

Iran by more than 300 sunny days in a year as well as having area to generate electricity from wind has a noticeable capacity to develop its renewable energies.

Trade exchanges level between Iran and Italy was 1.851 billion dollars in 2017, which trade balance was mince 1billion and five million dollars.
