Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry: Unilateral economic sanctions caused humanitarian crisis in world

In a report on the occasion of end of the year 2018, it double standards on the norms of international law, military conflicts, ethnic differences and growing disputes between regional and global power have fanned flames of tension in international relations.

In 2018, Azerbaijan Republic has promoted its ties with the neighbors on the basis of mutual respect in the political, economic and cultural fields, it said.

Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has described Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s visits to the country in 2018 as major events for Baku.

The report has also declared hosting first meeting of quadrilateral meeting of Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey and Georgia’s foreign ministers as well as trilateral meeting of Azerbaijan Republic, Iran and Turkey’s foreign ministers as among other major occasion in 2018.

Signing Convention of Caspian Sea Legal Regime was also a step forward in line with promoting cooperation among Caspian Sea littoral states, it said.
