During the meeting, which was also held with the attendance of managing director of Iran Railways Saeed Mohammad Zadeh, both sides discussed cooperation in the railways field.

He also referred to successful cooperation between the two countries in the economic and transportation fields, saying mutual visits and meetings play major role in developing ties.
Meanwhile, Mohammadzadeh elaborated on the measures taken by Iran in line with completing the North-South Corridor.
In the meantime, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Railways Javid Gurbanov pointed to opening Baku-Astara highway, saying both countries have many capacities in the transportation field.
