Amirabad port of Mazandaran transit route for chemical fertilizer to India

Siavash Rezvani added on Sunday that about 10 percent of this amount of fertilizer has entered Amirabad from the Turkmenbashi port of Turkmenistan.

He said the cargo will be transported to Shahid Rajaee Port from where it will be transported to India.

Rezvani added, 'This is the second consignment of goods transported to Amirabad over past month.'

Pre-shipment of 154 buses of a Tajik merchant was transported through Amirabad to Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, he said.

The Amirabad Ports and Maritime Director also reported a 32% increase in cargo transit in the port during the first half of the year compared to the same period the last year.

Rezvani said that this year, 1,295,684 tons of goods were transported from the port of Amirabad, most of which were gas oil, fertilizers and pesticides.

He said the increase in non-oil goods from the port to the Caspian states increased by 12 percent in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year.
