4 petrochemical projects unveiled in southern Iran

The inauguration ceremony was held with the attendance of petroleum minister deputies.

The three lower-hand plans which worth $ 15.1m will provide 152 jobs directly, director general of PETZONE Omid Shahidinia told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday.

The factories have been constructed in an area covering 115,350 hectares in Marun petrochemical complex.

The waste water treatment system plan which was invested by Marun petrochemical complex has been implemented four years ago, he added.

Marun Petrochemical Complex, is a petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, Khuzestan, Iran which was established in 21 Jan 1995. The complex consists of LDPE, HDPE, polyphenol, olefin, EO/EG and UT plants. The main plant is Olefin which feeds the others.
