The amount of Iron ore discovered during this period was 7,204 tons worth $ 203 million.
Exports of iron ore found in the 10 months of this year dropped by 55% in weight compared to the same period last year and dropped 77% in terms of value.
The 10-month iron ore of 8 units’ production reported by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation (IMIDRO) is indicating the production of more than 29.898 million tons, with an extraction of crude stones of over 55 million tons and 71,000 tons and the amount of iron ore sent to the production units of more than 30.085 million tons were recorded.
Iran is among the top 10 countries in terms of variety of minerals (68 minerals discovered) and is ranked 15th in terms of exploration reserves.
