The Almasirah news network quoted a Yemeni military source as saying that 15 military vehicles were also destroyed by the Yemeni forces during their operation.

The Yemeni forces also prevented the advances of Sudanese, UAE and local mercenaries who enjoyed air cover.

In March 2015, Saudi Arabia along with some of its Arab allies including the United Arab Emirates launched an aggression on Yemen in a bid to return to power deposed Yemeni president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi and realize its political goals .

Some 14,000 Yemeni civilians have lost their lives and the country has turned into ruins as a result of Saudi aggression.
