Yemeni missile hits SW Saudi Arabia

The missile which targeted the Saudi troops concentration center was of type 'Zelzal 2' which is made domestically in Yemen, Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted Almasirah as saying.

Earlier on Saturday, eight Yemeni ballistic missiles were fired at the southern Saudi city of Jazan.

Most of Saudi Arabian soil is now within the range of the ballistic missiles made by Yemen and it is estimated that with a flare-up of war the simultaneous firing of 50 Yemeni missiles at Saudi oil company 'Aramco' can destroy the world's largest oil refining plant which provides 70 percent of Europe's oil needs, thus creating an oil crisis for the United States.

On the other hand, experts are of the belief that the war is costing Saudi Arabia 200 million dollars per day at best. The figures amounts to 72 billion dollars annually.

The military expenses associated with the war forced Saudi Arabia to take loans from foreign banks for the first time in the past decade, push up prices at home and even levy taxes on the incomes of at least eight million foreigners working in that country.
