Tremor jolts northern Iran

According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 14:27:20 hours local time (09:57:20 GMT) in an area located at 36.06 degrees latitude and 54.82 degrees longitude and at the depth of 10 km underground.

Shahroud is located at east of Semnan Province.

Six earthquakes measuring 4 on the Richter scale shook Shahroud last year.
