Tremor hits southwestern Iran

According to a report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 15:52:51 hours local time (11:22:51 hours GMT) in depth of 10 kilometers underground.

Kiumars Hajizadeh, the managing-director of Khuzestan crisis management department, told the Islamic Republic News Agency that all relief units, including the Red Crescent, emergency medical care and the crisis management department are fully prepared.

There is no immediate report on the possible damages of the tremor, he said.

Another 3.4-magnitude earthquake also rocked Mianroud last Friday.
