Tehran, Ecuador to develop academic cooperation

The meeting was held between Tehran university officials and deputy director of Ecuador's Central University in Tehran on Sunday.

Washington Benitez and Muhammad Farid Alwan of Ecuador University met with the officials of Tehran University and discussed issues such as the expansion of academic cooperation in the fields of oil, agriculture, Latin American studies, Spanish language and literature, chemistry, exchange of professors and students within the programs for study opportunities.

Ecuador with 61 universities, including 18 percent of the state universities offers MS and PhD degrees.

There are also 300 higher institutes of higher education in Ecuador which offer specialized and professional training courses.
