According to SANA, army units along with allied forces purged over 1,500 kilometers of territories in southern Deir ez-Zur from remnants of the Daesh terrorists.

The forces started their operations from al-Mayadin and cut major routes of Daesh, promoting security of eastern Rif of Deir ez-Zur.

A large number of Daesh terrorists were killed during the operations.
