The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said in line with combating smuggling of goods and preventing wasting national asset, law enforcement officers became suspicious of a truck in Larestan in Shiraz Province and stopped it.
A smuggled two-seater airplane with no Customs license was found in the truck, he added.
One individual has been arrested and handed over to the judicial authorities.
'Given smuggling of goods is a threat to national production, fighting the issue is high on the agenda for officials,' he said.
