Rescue teams saved the lives of six people in the flood affected regions and Helicopter Rescue Teams helpED people who are stranded in flood waters, Pir Hossein Koolivand, the country's director of emergency services said in a state TV program.
He rejected the rumors about the losses and said that just two children have been already died as a result of flood in Golestan province.
In the meantime, the Health Minister Saeed Namaki said that the ministry has provided the people in the flood affected regions with their health needs and medicine.
Also, the Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said that the danger of river flooding has been minimized and the government will continue efforts to return people to normal life.
Golestan and Mazandaran provinces north of the country have been affected by heavy rains for the past few days. Flood forced people in many areas to flee and Aqqala and Gomishan cities in Golestan province were evacuated in order to prevent human losses.
