Police discovers antiques in SE Iran

After conducting information operations, police forces became aware of a huge smuggled antique consignment and put on the agenda investigating the issue, Colonel Reza Mohammad
Rezaei told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday night.

He added that after stopping the car carrying the consignment, 11 antique objects including silverwares, stone and marble containers, silver bracelet, 94 beads and 21 rings which had been skillfully hidden in the car were confiscated.

During the operation, two people were arrested, he noted.

Jiroft is located 230 kilometers south of the city of Kerman.
