Five people who are related to an armed conflict in Golzar region located at the Bardsir in the southeastern province of Kerman were arrested, Provincial Police Chief Brigadier General Reza Baniasadifar said on Friday during a funeral held for the martyred police officers.
In an armed conflict in Kerman Province on Friday, two police forces were killed, he noted.
Baniasadifar said that one of the arrested people had been in the car that escaped the conflict field after police arrival.
The official referred to Kerman's geographical position which is neighbor to Sistan-Baluchestan Province and said that drug traffickers use the region to transfer drugs.
Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan is neighbor to Afghanistan and Pakistan and the drug traffickers use the region to transfer drug into Iran and other countries.
