IRNA and the United Nations Information Center have worked together to put on display 65 photos and important documents demonstrating close ties and cooperation between Iran and the world body.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition in the provincial capital of Zahedan on Tuesday was attended by UNIC Director Maria Dotsenko as well as the provincial officials.

Also on display are photos of Iranian envoys in the opening ceremony of the UN, seven UN secretary generals’ visit to Iran, and images related to some UN development plans in the country.

The exhibition is open to the public on Aug 19-27.

Iran is one of the co-founders of the UN and is a member since the beginning in 1945.
