Over 120 films to compete in FIFF

Addressing a press conference at Charsou Cineplex in Tehran, the venue of the festival, FIFF Secretary Reza Mirkarimi described the festival as the best place to introduce Iranian cinema to the region and the world.

He added that several famous global cinematic figure including distinguished American director, screenwriter and producer, three-time Oscar winner, Oliver Stone, Italian composer Nicola Piovani, Italian Legend Franco Nero, Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi, etc will attend the gathering.

Mirkarimi stressed that some 300 foreign quests from 78 countries would take part in the festival.

He added that several films related to the crises in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Myanmar would be screened during the eight-day festival slated to be inaugurated on April 19, at Charsou Cineplex in Tehran 2018.

The 36th FIff will be wrapped up on April 27.
