Official: Bio-ethics fails to make use of non-Abrahamic religions

Velayati made the remarks in a message, read out by Secretary of the Committee of Iran-Islam Culture and Civilization at the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council Mohammad-Reza Shams Ardakani to the Scientific-Specialized Meeting on the Role of Religions in Defining Moral Values.

He said undoubtedly, holding such meetings and providing the opportunity for dialogue between theorists in related fields will lead to promotion of theoretical issues in society, so necessary facilities for meeting scientific horizons should be provided.

He added that many questions can be raised on the role of religions in defining moral values, but it seems that before raising such questions, it is necessary to clarify common points in debates and commonalties of dialogues on role of religions in defining moral values.
